PERFORMANCE RSS

In October of 2025, artist Naama Tsabar and Reno-based artists Ruby Barrientos, Sophie Duvall, Jonesy, and Karlie Watson, as well as Sarah Strauss, composed a site-specific performance at the Lilley Museum of Art. The Lights for Liberty vigil organized by the Diente De León Collective. The intention of the vigil and performance was to create visibility and resistance in Reno to what continues to happen at the southern border.  During the live performance a recording of the children who are detained and separated from their parents was playing while a white man dressed in a suit handcuffed me, wrapped a metal chain around my neck, and then locked me in a cage the size of a dog kennel.
